Default Who makes the best monitors?

I'm getting an XPS 420 and I dont know what monitor to get with it.

I'm looking for 22"-24", hands down best monitor in terms of color, sharpness, etc.

Everyone says the best screens for laptops are LG screens, does anyone know if their monitors are of the same quality?

Thanks

eh samsung is said to be the best but isnt IMO. HP came out with a a new 24" not too long ago that i found to be the best when i compared them. I believe Hanns G makes the best gaming LCD monitors and actually has the fastest reponse time you can get right now, the 28" i have is 3ms. So check them out too.

I like the HP screens the most myself, but it is a bit personal i think. Iiyama makes some pretty good screens to.

For consumer grade, HP and Samsung and LG etc. are acceptable. If you really want top quality, you will have to go for the NEC MultiSync range or Dell Ultrasharp range. Business grade products always beat consumer grade by a long run.

Samsung, Dell and NEC both make panels which are top of the line (S-IPS, corrent me if i'm wrong?)

Samsung also has some cheap panels which are actually manufactured by Chei Mei, so be aware of that also. If you get a samsung panel though, they are generally regarded very highly.

I have a cheap 8-bit westinghouse which serves my purposes very well. no ghosting, no light bleeding.... colors aren't the most accurate but i don't really care. (but then again its a 22" that i got for $170 so i'm willing to let a lot slide )

But anyway, if you want accurate colors, wide viewing angles, minimal ghosting and minimal light bleed, go with NEC, Samsung or Dell
