Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Profile
I need to do a clean install of my computer and in the process, am planning on formatting my hard drive. I've heard that the COD4 multiplayer profiles are saved locally on the computer. Would I be able to "save" my stats/unclocks/etc by copying the "players" folder from the current location and then copy it back after the fresh install? Is this the right location, or are there other files that it would require? Any insight would be great.
Thanks.Desktop: Antec 300|GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked|i7 920|3 GB DDR3|WD 750 GB + 640 GB|Corsair 650W|Windows 7 Ultimate

Well , im not sure, but just a suggestion. Backup the folder, delete the stuff inside, and see what happens? then put it back.

Yup, back up everything in your players folder and you will be fine. I already did it a few times.

Re: Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Profile
Odd, I reformatted my C (windows) partition, and my D was left intact. But when I booted COD 4 (on my D partition), my profile had been deleted.

Re: Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Profile
If this file is stored on your computer and not server side, wouldnt it be very susceptible to hacks?
