Default Sony Recalls VAIO All-in-one AC Adapters

Sony and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission today instituted a voluntary recall of AC adapters used in several Sony products. The model being recalled is the VGP-AC19V17 adapter which was used in both VAIO all-in-one desktops as well as docking stations produced for VAIO notebooks.  Models affected by the recall include the VGC-LT and VGC-JS2 desktops and VGP-PRBX1 and VGP-PRFE1 docking stations.

No one has been injured, although there have been four reports of the adapter short circuiting.  Consumers can receive a free replacement adapter by calling Sony a 877.361.4481 or going on to their website.
