Matrox introduces M-series graphics cards

Matrox today introduced its M-series graphics cards, which can run four monitors simultaneously.
The Matrox M1950
The M-series features 512MB of video memory and use a PCI-e x16 interface. The graphics cards are designed for use in multi-monitor, professional environments. The M-series is WHQL-certified on Windows XP and Vista. The M-series is passively cooled, so there is no fan noise.
The following models will be available in Q3'08:
- M9120 PCIe x16 $259 USD
- M9125 PCIe x16 $399 USD
- M9120 Plus LP PCIe x16 $329 USD
- M9120 Plus LP PCIe x1 $329 USD
- M9140 LP PCIe x16 $599 USD
- Quad analog upgrade cable $99 USD

I think it was Asus that has a similar devices that plugs into USB and lets you run monitors from it, this would be the winner for a desktop I guess if it was not so expensive. At that price why not just get a real video card?
For laptops tho the USB deal would be what you need.
