Default AMD introduces quad-core Opteron SE processors

AMD today introduced four new quad-core AMD Opteron SE processors.

The processors are designed to provide an affordable way for IT managers to scale up their datacenter. The new processors will be available in systems from global OEMs and solution providers, including HP, Sun Microsystems, Dell, and IBM.
The four processor models are:

  • 2360 SE (2.5GHz)
  • 2359 SE (2.4GHz)
  • 8360 SE (2.5GHz)
  • 8358 SE (2.4GHz)

The new processors have already broken records in business-relevant testing in applications that demonstrate scalability. Benchmark results are available at this link.
