Default Simple case mod for a long video card

Had to mod my case (Cooler Master Storm Scout) before I even put a motherboard in because the 6950 is so stupidly long it needed another 1/4" or so clearance:

    Desktop: i7-3770K@4.1GHz/Corsair H60/16GB DDR3-1600@CAS9/2x Unlocked 2GB 6950@915/1400,+20%/Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H/3x Acer 211HL (5760x1080 Eyefinity)/128GB Kingston SSD boot, 2x250GB (RAID0), 2x1TB (JBOD)/CoolerMaster Storm Scout/Corsair HX750W
    MythBuntu Media Center PC: Antec Sonata II/Athlon X2 7750/4GB DDR2/4x1TB RAID5, 500GB boot/Nvidia GeForce 240GT/61" HL61A750 LED DLP
    Laptop: HP Envy 15/i5-540M/8GB DDR3-1333/Radeon 5830M/1920x1080 WLED/~5.5lbs

Well...I guess it is better to cut into the case than the video card if it doesn't fit

They are long, but you have to got love the power...

I somehow fail to see where the cutting has been done? Or is it still in the planning stage?

    Edit:
Nowait I see it! Nice job.

That was the point Thanks. It's just gonna be a royal pain in the rear if I ever have to replace that lower front fan.

Speaking of the long video card, there are now two of them in there. Best part is that the temps don't seem to go over ~85C. Gotta love having good airflow

Pretty and powerful. But, I don't think it is helping your headshot percentage in L4d

I actually just got the card today. Didn't have it in when we played that game.

My damn Internet gave out right as the credits were rolling, so I couldn't see all my stats Besides... I was branching out with weapons that game. Not using my old standby shotguns as much

    Sounds very convenient

Any problems with the pair of 6950 and gaming?

I honestly haven't had any time to seriously test them out. Been working instead of gaming The Unigine Heaven benchmark seems a little stuttery, but it could be my imagination because I'm looking for it, too. I did put an H.60 in last night though. It's taken the CPU max from 77C or so down to 65C with Prime95 having been running for the past 3-4 hours, and that's including a little voltage bump to make it stable at 4.5GHz instead of 4.3, as well as being just barely louder than it is at idle (the previous heatsink got fairly loud when really loaded). I think I've done just about as much as I can to this thing without having to take too many parts out and replace them
