SLI or just a new graphics card?
Thinking of upgrading my GTX 550ti by either getting another and SLI'ing them or just getting a better graphics card all together. The GTX 550ti is pretty cheap, so if it would benefit me massively by sticking another on my MOBO then I would go with that route.
I only game with my PC, so what would be best?
Ps, I also don't do massive resolutions. I think I'm currently running at 1600x1200. :PSpectrum 48k: Zilog Z80A CPU @3.5Mhz, 256×192

I'd go new card, the plain 660 should be under $200 and launch this week, a 660ti would be even better.
I have 2 570's in SLI and and they run right on par with 1 680...
Also if you go SLI make sure your PSU is up to task.
How far are you from what your after? If your close to where you want to be SLImight be the ticket, though be prepared for the usual headaches, such as poor or no SLI support for most titles right at launch....and spending a lot of time hunting down workarounds. Case in point the recent Sleeping Dogs launch, took almost 2 weeks to get SLI working decently, and thats still using workarounds....stock SLI support gives very lackluster performance as both cards only work about 40-50%....change a few things with Nvidia Inspector tool and you can get over 90%....I also had major SLI issues with BAC, Witcher 2 and ME3 when they launched ....when it works its usually quite good...but IME it seldom works well right out of the gate.Corsair Obsidian D ~Silverstone ST-1000-P~ i7 950 @ 4.2 GHZ/1.26V (EOC)~GA X58A-UD3R~ 2X EVGA GTX 570 SC in SLI~6GB G Skill super PI DDR3 1600 CAS 7~128 GB Samsung 830 SSD/ 1TB WD 7200 RPM 64MB cache~ Samsung Blue ray / DVDRW ~ EVGA GTX 260 - Core 216 SC for physX ~ Asus 1080P 120HZ LCD/NV 3D vision ~ Acer AL2216W 22" secondary display~ XFI TI
