    Default OCZ Colossus 960gb ssd

Hi guys, new here but I frequent and post in the notebook sister forum. Anyways, have a quick question, what is a fair price for the OCZ Colossus 2 960gb ssd, reason for asking is because I have the chance to buy a dozen of them or so for what I believe to be a good deal.

Be careful, I had an OCZ agility 2 that worked well for quite awhile....then died in spectacular fashion....RMA'ed it and less thean a month later the replacement went the same way....they actually gave me an agilty 3 as replacment...but I went with Samsung for reliability.....if it uses a sandforce controller be extra careful, as those seem to be not "if" it will fail, but when (and well before end of expected life).

Thanks for the advice, I'll check into that, but for 300 or so for a 960gb ssd I think I'll chance it, gain seem to out weight the risk at this point.

Think about who you are going to sell it to. A 3.5in SSD that is EOL and has lackluster specs is probably worth less than that. Yes, it has a high capacity, but since you are dealing with desktops, you can easily get 2(two) 480GB/512GB SSDs(it is expensive but more performance and a safer bet).

Yes, older sandforce drives that do not have firmware updates should be avoided. Newer ones, I am more than happy to take a chance especially when you can get a decent size 240GB for as cheap as $140 when there is a sale(512GB SSD can be as cheap as $330)... and prices are coming down.
