Default Why is everything running so hot!

In my custom built desktop I have the following components/temps:
Q6600 - 43-47ºC IDLE
nVidia 8800 GT - 60ºC IDLE
Seagate 750GB HDD - 41ºC IDLE
Seagate 750GB HDD - 46ºC IDLE

am I crazy or are my hard drives on fire! They get in the 50ºC's when playing games... I have 3 case fans (rear, side front) PSU, CPU, GPU all have funs (obvious but yeah...) and temp in the room is probably low 70's.... don't see a ton of dust in there....

Ideas?

CPU and GPU seem reasonable. I would like mine to be lower, but those are normal temps. HDDs do seem high. Depending on the ventilation in your case, that could be it, or there could be issues with the drives (probably not). Have the fans been cleaned? What directions are they blowing? Is the PSU counteracting a fan? Were the temps lower before and went up?

I would try to check each of your fans, you might have one out or be losing airflow somewhere that you don't know it. Its amazing what dust can do to temperatures in a case and can even ruin fans very quickly.

What direction are your fans going?
When was the last time you cleaned the heatsinks?

The front and side should be blowing air in, and the back and PSU should be blowing air out.
What size fans are these?
