I can,
I upgraded from an ASUS workstation motherboard to a TYAN Workstation motherboard. On the two-way processor motherboards, I am getting upwards of 27% more performance with the same processors. I am assuming this is why ASUS workstation boards are cheaper, they just cant do what a TYAN can.
Back to the thread. I am confused too.
You can install windows 7 on a pentium 4 if you wanted to. Windows 7 is just an operating system.
Sure a faster processor, faster harddrive and more memory will speed up the system, but as noted we dont have any idea what those specs are.
