Default Alienware Area 51 X58 Help! :)

Hello

So basically I will start this post saying that, I am from brazil, and even paying 4000 us dolars for a pc its not much comparing to what I would pay to build one like that here in brazil.
I do know that I am risking paying the taxes, but its not my first time bringing stuff from the us, so I am positive that i would't be speding much more then the 4000.

But while I was building the specs on the site I came upon a very good question: when they say I am choosing Single 1,792 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 295 they dont say the manufacturer, so what I am supose to think? its just the chipest one? The same thing happens with the memory.

*Another very important question: does the Acoustic Dampening really works?! For me this is crucial, because I cant stand the noise that the computers now a days make.

I am about to get a pc with this specs:

Intel® Core™ i7-965 Extreme 3.2 GHz 8MB Cache
Alienware® Standard System Cooling + Acoustic Dampening*
Alienware® 1000 Watt Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply
Single 1,792 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 295
12GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz - 6 x 2048MB
Alienware® Approved Intel® X-58 Motherboard- Socket 1366 Core i7 Ready, Dual Triple Channel DDR3 Memory

300GB Velociraptor SATA 3.0Gb/s 10,000RPM 16MB Cache
1TB SATA 3Gb/s 7,200RPM 32MB Cache

Drive 1: 20X Dual Layer Burner (DVD±RW)
Drive 2: Dual Layer Blu-ray Reader (BD-ROM, DVD±RW, CD-RW)

Any coments? Will everything work with everything?

I appreciate your help.
Caroline

Hi Carol, for the manufacturer/brand for the graphics card and RAM/Memroy, we do recommend that you contact our Sales team, our agents will be able to verify that for you. They can be reached at 1-305-251-9797 (International), or 1-800-494-3382, option 3 (USA). They are also available via email at sales@alienware.com.

Two things will keep your system ultra-quiet. Liquid Cooling, and Acoustice Dampening.

Quote:
Noise Absorption Technology

Alienware’s Acoustic Dampening features noise absorbing cellular foam padding. Professionally installed by Alienware system builders, this material reduces the noise generated by high-performance components such as graphics cards, processors and hard drives.

Attack Fan Noise at its Source

Alienware’s ultra-quiet chassis fans are designed to be more than 80% quieter than standard chassis fans. Featuring double ball bearings, these fans offer extended life, reduced noise and high levels of airflow. Operating at noise levels as low as 21 dBA, and moving up to 54 cubic feet per minute of airflow, these fans offer significant cooling performance at virtually silent operating levels.
Enjoy your day!

Default noisy

Well I am sorry to tell you but the ALX is very noisy. I have had my new one for about a month and it is the loudest computer I have owned. It is also very fast and an icredible machine. They still need to fix the issues with alienFX, and tech support screwed up mine so bad that they are now sending me a new one. I do give them credit because at least they are replacing it. I guess my main answer here is that these systems are not quiet, sorry but my xps 730 is a lot more quiet. I would still recomend this computer to anyone though. It is that good!
